I am currently NOT ACCEPTING requests.

Q: Where do I send in my request?
I will only accept requests e-mailed to: cary_morton@hotmail.com.

I will ignore any requests sent to me in any other manner. This is because often I forget to write these down... my bad! (The above link takes you to my request thread on my own domain's Forum... you will be required to sign up in order to post, but it's all automated and very quick... no having to check your E-Mail for confirmation!)

Q: Do you accpet Mesh requests or Re-Textures? What is the difference?
I do not take Mesh requests, however, I do accept Re-Textures. Think of an IMVU product as an x-mas gift... a Mesh is the cardboard box that gives the gift it's shape.. the Texture is the giftwrap! While changing the Texture is relatively easy and only requires editing an image, the Mesh is very hard to change and requires extensive knowledge of a 3D program... very few people on IMVU know how to Mesh and Mesh well, and not being one of them, I do not accept Mesh requests. However, if you ask I will be glad to point you in the direction of a few developers who do take Mesh requests. If you are in doubt about your request and what it will require, feel free to ask, I don't mind explaining.

Q: What order do you finish your requests in?
I do all of my requests in the order I please, not in the order I get the request... usually this means that I do the easiest requests first, and the harder requests later when I have more time to work on them. So be prepared to wait a large length of time before your request is finished. This is not uncommon.

When will my request be done?
Asking me daily or every other day "when will my request be done?" makes me push it farther back on the list of things to do, so you'd be wise not to ask. When it's done, I'll upload it to the catalog... end of story. Generally I do not notify a requester when their request has been completed, as by then I usually can't remember who's given the request. So check my catalog daily to see the updates to it!

Q: What do I need to send in with my request?
Please include any information I may need to complete the request... colors to be used, links to a product you want me to derive from, sample images of a costume or character, specific quoted text you want on it.. etc. This is to cut down on the amount of research I'll need to do, and the amount of telegrams I'll have to send you asking what you want.

For stickers, please include a link to the image you want used for the sticker and any quoted text you want on the sticker. The images you send me do not have to be cleaned up or pre-edited in any way, I can do this myself, but you are free to adjust it as you see fit if that is what you want to do. The best images to send for Avatar Stickers are LARGE screen captures. Smaller images such as IMVU Snapshots are not acceptable as they are very blurry and pixelated, and almost impossible to edit.

I DO NOT do requests involving copyrighted or trademarked material.

Q: How do I take a screen capture?
Dress up your avatar how you want it, and preferably, load a simple one-color solid background scene (the white room you start in when you first start up IMVU works well, and a green-screen room works REALLY well. (specifically for avatars with white clothing.)

Maximize your chat screen to the very edges of your monitor.

Hit the "PrtScn" key on your keyboard. Every keyboard has this key and it is usually located around your Home, Delete, End, and Page Up/Down keys. On laptops this may be somewhere different.

Nothing will appear to have happened when you hit the key, but I assure you, something has.

Open your art program, whichever you use (it doesn't matter which one), and "Paste" the screen capture into a new image. You can then use your "Crop" tool to crop in relatively close to your avatar (we don't need all that blank space do we?)

You can then save the image and upload it to an image hosting site such as: http://www.imageshack.us I recommend that host in particular because many of the others (including photobucket) will resize large images.

The host will list the URL to the image after you upload it. Just copy and paste this into your telegram to me!
